PAIN AND TIME
Pain of age has swiftly come As time did surely pass Without the note of self to see The body sets the cast.
Youthful men work hard without The light of future see And blindly take each forging step Their pain is not to be.
Wonder yet if age and time Can bridge the life of youth Or if the quested venture be The will will stay aloof.
Out on water time stands still Where light is here at night And peaceful empty clouds do stand With goals far out of sight.
Decide what time is happening While age and time do part And off will go the time you had For this too when to start.
Once and only once can come Each piece of life you see And here is where this time becomes This times re-al-ity.
Sweat and pain diminish As numbness sets in still While you have this chance to go Where you take your will.
When this ends and pain is past The look will stay with rhyme The good will shine and mem-ories Will last for endless time.
So sail away with lofty plans And dreams of seven seas With a welcome breeze that blows That beckons you to see,
What glory is for you to have If time be forward brought For action will the answer be From lasting dreams be sought.
Off with one who's time is right And visit is to please To seek the love of salty air When roam the seven seas,
Where up comes mighty solitude That ready you were not For different than your dreams become For time will not be caught.
Onward through this action dream You many times will say For this is what I want of life My dreams can't go away,
Face the truth of time that calls When dreams become but real That sacrifice the dreams you have Can make your life seem still.
Then up comes something special That you did figure not The truth of what you sought of this Adventure you be taught,
Immortal life that you did see Was never there at all You face the cold reality Of deaths elusive call.
The teacher will be teaching The child that comes to play For many times a lesson learned Can grip the sole to pray,
From lessons that will shelter The drive that keeps you there And stow away the after thoughts From existential scare.
Life and dreams and death you know Can bring the salt to cheek Though many different ways there are For man to really seek,
And understand his calling When deep inside he sees The essence of the timeless soul Upon the seven seas.
With Blast and flash of lightning's roar From vintage passing ships With creaking bones down to their core And whispers from their lips
And secret time of floodship waves Caressing but with might Covers all the sands of time And brings anew with light
Plentiful these crashing storms Of time immortal past Renew the lust of angry bones As powering windships pass
Weathered sides from storm and light Of life's declining trip And through it all to bottom go On bottoms, death to sit. |
