	KONOCTI KIDS’ DAY May 17, 2008 WILD ABOUT KIDS March 19, 2008 Dear Social Service Agencies and Organizations, Konocti Kids’ Day is coming back after a year hiatus, and this year is going to be bigger and better. The event is planned to take place May 17, 2008 from 11:00a.m. To 3:00p.m.. The initial planning meeting for the event took place January 25. The committees have been formed and are working hard to put on a great event. This year we have formed partnerships with The City of Clearlake and Lake Transit . Lake Transit will be providing free transportation to the event all around the lake. We are very excited to have them on our team! Another addition to the event this year is a contest to promote this year’s theme WILD ABOUT KIDS. I would like to encourage all agencies/organization that are holding a booth at the event to decorate your booth in accordance with the theme. The selected winner will receive a $100 gift card for Wal-Mart for their organization Tanya Biasotti will once again be handling the agency booths and contacts. For those agencies and organization that have not participated in Konocti Kids’ Day in the past, below you will find a brief description of the one day event Konocti Kid’s Day is a one day event held in May at Austin Park in Clearlake. The focus of the event is on children ages 0-5 and their families. New for this year is our partnership with the City of *Clearlake* , with plans to add activities for older children . All activities during the event are free, with food being the only cost for the participants. The event brings families and agencies together in a family friendly environment. Each organization that participates provides an informational booth, as well as a creative arts or literacy activity geared towards children ages 0-5. There is musical entertainment offered throughout the day, car seat safety checks, bike helmet fittings and giveaway and fun blow up apparatuses. The organizers of this event all looking forward to another great year, with hopes that your agency or organization will join in the fun!
