Beginning Watercolor for Fun – Bonnie Ewing (Artist)

June 17 (Tues), 9:00-11:30, Ages:  8-12, $10.00

Students will explore several techniques in watercolor to complete three paintings.  This is a great start for that young artist.

 

 

Fun with Acrylics – Karen Magnuson (Artist) ………. This is a 2-day class.

June 19 (Thurs) & June 20 (Fri), 10:00-1:00, Ages:  12-18, $12.00

Students will learn drawing, painting and acrylic fundamentals and techniques to create an individual painting of their own.

 

 

Gum Wrapper Jewelry – Marilyn Grock (Beading Artist)             

June 23 (Mon), 10:00-12:30, Ages:  6-12, $10.00                 

Students will learn to fold gum wrapper size paper to make interesting zigzag bracelets.  This class is fun.

 

 

Beginning Pastel Art – Richard Seisser (Drawing & Pastel Artist)

June 27 (Fri), 1:00-4:00, Ages:  9-18, $10.00

Students will learn the fundamentals of painting with pastels to create and complete their own individualistic painting.  Pastels paintings are beautiful and so expressive in color.

 

 

Decorative Art Objects to Paint – Diane Stawicki (Artist)

July 8 (Tues), 9:30-12:30, Ages:  6-12, $10.00

Students will use their imagination to paint a provided object of their choice (fish, angel or butterfly) that will be assembled into a decorative hanging mobile.  If time permits, students will paint a small bird house for their garden.

 

 

Polymer Clay Sea Horse – Naomi Key (Artist)

July 10 (Thurs), 9:30-12:00, Ages:  Open, $10.00

Students will have the experience and fun of working with clay to make a polymer clay sea horse.  This is an interesting and fun class for all ages.

 The Art of Scrapbooking  – Susanna De Angelo (Decorative Artist)

July 11(Fri), 1:00-4:00, Ages:  7 and up, $10.00

Students will create pages to begin a scrapbook of their own choosing a theme, color, accessory stickers and other decorative elements provided.  Students may bring photos of an occasion, topic or theme to incorporate in their scrapbook, if they choose. 

 

 

Introduction to String Beading – Barbara Funke (Artist)

July 14 (Mon), 9:30-12:30, Ages:  7 and Up, $10.00

Students will learn the fundamentals of string beading to make decorative art items of their choice including book beads, garden art, necklace, etc.

 

 

Making a Mixed Media Artist's Book – Phyllis Thiessen (Artist) ….. This is a 2-day class.

July 16 (Wed) & July 17 (Thurs), 10:00-12:30, Ages:  7-12, $15.00 

We will use different media including watercolor, felt-tip pens, stamps, collage elements, etc., to create several artworks on paper.  On the second day it will all be bound together into an artist’s book to take home.  Note:  $10.00 per student if more than one child is from the same family.

 

 

Creating the Art of a Dream Board – Susanna De Angelo (Decorative Artist)

 July 18 (Fri), 1:00-4:00, Ages:  6 and up, $8.00

Using the medium of drawing and collage and other artistic elements provided, students will use their imagination to create a work of art to identify what they want to be in the future.

 

 

Exploratory Drawing:  Beginning – Richard Seisser (Drawing & Pastel Artist)

July 21 (Mon), 1:00-4:00, Ages 9-12, $10.00

Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing using a variety of drawing implements and materials   to create an individual work of art.

 

 

Exploratory Drawing:  Advanced – Richard Seisser (Drawing & Pastel Artist)

July 22 (Tues), 9:00-12:00, Ages 9-12, $10.00

Students will learn advanced drawing techniques and explore new ideas using a variety of drawing implements and materials to create a work of art.
